Simpson Chapel Baptist Church

In prayer this morning, God put in my spirit "to stay true to the call."  When you have a passion for ministry, there will be set back.  When you feel you have been called to do a work for God, there will be times when problems will arise and things aren't going the way we want them too.  You have one problem after the another.  And when they come, they seem to just sit down.  You pray, read and do all you know to do, but to no avail.  Frustration comes and we wonder where is God.  He allows us to go through things just to check our faith.  (Jms 1:2-3)  It is our faith that keeps us going.  Even though we can't see what God is doing, we must still "stay true to the call."  The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. (Ps 37:23)  Seeing that God has ordered our steps, there is nothing that catches him off guard.  So don't lose hope, stay true to the call.

Because trouble has come and God hasn't moved, it's not over.  God wants to prove himself to us, if we can just stay true to the call.   He'll show up and prove Himself to be strong and mighty.  If we just stay faithful.

As we go into this new year, don't allow the enemy to make you doubt God.  He is Faithful & Just.  I understand now, God doesn't see problems, he sees  opportunities.  An opportunity to show his love and power toward us.  Let us stay true to the call.  Revelation 2:10B says, "be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life."
